Folio (34,5 x 26 cm), in publisher’s folder wrapper in grey vellum paper printed on the front in green and black.
First edition. The issue « Hommage - Dessins de Matisse », contains : a frontispiece with a composition by Leonor Fini, the fac-similé of three poems by Paul Eluard  (« Nous n’importe où », « Je veux qu’elle soit reine », « Une et plusieurs »), a vintage and original gelatin silver photography by Brassaï « Henri Matisse in his studio »  in 1939, a text by André Rouveyre, ten plates (in full page) of drawings (Tulipes, Bouquet de fleurs variées, Monique, Annelies, la Martiniquaise, Nature morte au chapeau tahitien, Lydia, Nu, Portrait d’André Rouveyre et Portrait d’Apollinaire) + 2 reproductions of annotated sketches printed on tracing paper, the fac-similé of an handwritten letter by Matisse with the list of the drawings. Printed by Imprimerie Robaudy in Cannes. Edition : 1000 numbered copies + 50 copies HC ; here n° 295. The wrapper slight toned with two tiny bumps on the front, several sheets with little foxing stains, the two sheets of tracing paper partially creased, otherwise in good condition.
