Après « Parcours 1942-1959 », le second des trois volumes constituant le catalogue raisonné de l’œuvre complet de Jacques Doucet, « Parcours 1960-1976 », a été établi par Andrée Doucet et publié par les éditions Galilée (1996), comme les deux autres volumes (1996 et 1999). Le présent tome II s’ouvre sur une préface d’Edouard Jaguer. Comme pour chacun des 3 volumes, on notera la qualité du texte biographique d’Andrée Doucet, texte passionnant agrémenté de nombreux documents et souvenirs de l’épouse de l’artiste qui accompagnent le catalogue raisonné proprement dit et font comprendre l’évolution du travail de Doucet. C’est au cours de cette période que l’œuvre graphique de Jacques Doucet va prendre de l’ampleur. Si l’artiste avait réalisé sa toute première lithographie dès 1956 chez Jean Pons - avec lequel il continuera au fils des ans à collaborer -, c’est en 1965, auprès de son ami André Marfaing, que Doucet aborde la gravure ; Marfaing initie Doucet à quelques différentes techniques de la gravure, comme il les enseignera à Guillaume Doucet, le fils de l’artiste qui sera plus tard graveur et tirera les épreuves de son père. C’est également au cours de ces deux décennies que l’artiste va publier des estampes dans le cadre du livre illustré (auprès de Michel Ragon, Jean Orizet, etc.), du portfolio (« Estampes 1975 », ed. Jean-Charles Aulner) ou de revues d’art comme « Signe » ou « Morphèmes » éditées par l’éditeur Imre Pan. On notera que Doucet réalise également des sérigraphies en 1974 et 1975.
