    Il n’existe pas à ce jour de Catalogue Raisonné de l’œuvre graphique de Pierre Tal Coat . Le catalogue montré ici a été réalisé dans le cadre d’une importante exposition sur la gravure de l’artiste, catalogue publié par le Cabinet des Estampes (Genève) en 1985. Il s'agit en fait d'une plaquette répertoriant l'importante donation des estampes de l'artiste par l'Atelier Saint-Prex et de Françoise Simecek. Ce document de référence sur l’artiste répertorie 40 oeuvres originales sur papier (sur les 120 œuvres présentées lors de l’exposition), comprenant un ensemble de gravures - eaux-fortes, aquatintes - et lithographies de l’artiste. « … Tal Coat graveur, transmettant les signes d’un réel toujours perçu dans sa mouvance, c’est-à-dire dans son rapport dynamique à l’espace – de la terre, du ciel, ou du papier. Traces, paysages, couleurs, animaux : la forme se trouve saisie à la limite tout à la fois de l’apparaître et du déplacement-effacement, » écrit Rainer Michael Mason. « … la participation du papier, j’entends sa teinte lumineuse intégrale, à l’espace recevant l’impression, » dit Pierre Tal Coat.
