Le Catalogue Raisonné des estampes et objets pour la période 1963-1995 a été publiée par les éditions Schellmann en 1995. L’ouvrage est la réédition du premier catalogue publié en 1988 (œuvres de 1963 à 1987), complété de 8 années de création. Bilingue (anglais et allemand), cet ouvrage de référence sur l’œuvre imprimé et sur les multiples de l’artiste répertorie 164 œuvres, estampes ou objets multiples, comprenant notamment l’ensemble des lithographies et sérigraphies originales de l’artiste pour la période. Chaque estampe ou objet a une fonction dans le travail de Christo. Rien n’est isolé ; chaque oeuvre publiée participe ou a participé à sa façon à la création, la réalisation et la mémoire d’un projet concret. Il s’agit là d’une logique à la stratégie mise en place par Christo. On notera que souvent ces œuvres servirent à l’artiste de récolter des fonds qui permirent de financer en partie la réalisation elle-même. Certaines œuvres font partie intégrante d’un projet qui va à son terme, d’autres ne relèvent que de la conception et de la recherche de Christo.
