Born in 1910 in Paris, Aurélie Nemours enrolls at the Louvre School of Fine Arts in 1929 for a 3-year cycle. From 1937 to 1940, she is a student of the Paul Colin studio publicity and Applied Arts, workshop mainly devoted to drawing, poster and theatrical decor. At the end of the war, she follows courses until 1945 during the Academy of Andre Lhote. Aurélie Nemours then writes poems (published . . .

The publication of a postal stamp is often a homage paid by a nation to a place, an event, a remarkable cause or a character which count. The painters and other artists do not escape from this rule. Some are however "forgotten" of postal art. Here, gathered below (French or foreign), emitted stamps (206) or simple studies of stamp (224) in homage to the artists represented on our website. The first French stamp was emitted in 1849, England preceded us by ten years. There is often a share of voyage in this small form of shape paper. A tribute to Aurélie Nemours

Aurélie Nemours est décédée le jeudi 27 janvier 2005 à Paris à l’âge de 94 ans, quelques mois après que le Centre Beaubourg lui ait rendu hommage en organisant une grande rétrospective de son oeuvre. Sa seule sculpture (post-motem), l’Alignement du XXIe siècle, a été inauguré au printemps 2006 à Rennes. Celle qui aura consacré sa vie à la peinture repose dans le cimetière parisien de Bagneux. En son homage, avec respect, cette rose.
