Biography of Bruno Bruni
Bruno Bruni was born in 1935 in Gradara (Italy) into a humble, highly political family. He was a student at the art institute of Pesaro from 1953 to 1959. After a year spent in London, where he became interested in pop art and exhibited at the Whibley Gallery, he continued his training at the Hamburg Art School until 1967, where he met Georg Gresko, whom he considered his mentor. Gresko enabled him to free himself from the influences of Italian artistic traditions on the one hand, and surrealism and abstract expressionism on the other. Bruno BBruni then workeed with Paul Wunderlich who taught him polychrome lithography. In 1977, the artist received the international Senelfeder prize for his lithographs. Bruno Bruni has the particularity of being one of the rare engravers to paint directly on the stone without transfer paper or metal plates. His work is essentially figurative, a figuration made of humanoid forms charged with erotic symbols.

Artists on display
The art and the artists display: proclamations, galleries, museums, personal or collective exhibitions. On walls or in shop windows, wise or rebels, posters warn, argue, show. Some were specially conceived by an artist for such or such event, other, colder, have only the letter.
Some were created in lithographic technic, most are simple offset reproductions. They are many those who like collecting these rectangles of paper, monochrome or in games of colours, in matt paper or brilliant, with many words or almost dumb.
We are happy also to be able to greet, by this pages, mythical galleries as those of Denise René, Louis Carré, Claude Bernard, Berheim Jeune, Maeght, Pierre Loeb and others.
