Born in Bradford, England in 1937, David Hockney studies at Bradford College of Art from 1953-1957, then at the Royal College of Art in London from 1959-1962. From the beginning of the 60’s, Hockney mixes abstract art, figuration and Pop art in his work. His first solo exhibition is organized in London in 1962.
