British artist Lynn Chadwick was born in London in 1914. Trained at Merchant Taylor`s college of architecture, then he became a world-renowned sculptor and also printmaker. As the economy of the pre-war period was deteriorated, Chadwick found he could not live from his art; he turned towards architecture, choosing to work as a designer for architects.
